Snapped a Spring?
We're On It.

Loud bang from the garage, door stuck shut, or rollers grinding like crazy? We carry parts for every common door in SW Florida and replace them same-day — usually within the hour.

Warning Signs

Don't Wait — These Mean Call Now

Loud BANG from the garage

A snapped torsion spring sounds like a gunshot. Don't try to open the door — call us.

Door won't open (or feels twice as heavy)

If your opener strains or the door barely lifts manually, a spring is broken or stretched out.

Visible gap in the spring coil

A 2-inch gap above the door means one of the coils has snapped clean through.

Grinding, squealing, or clattering rollers

Worn rollers chew through tracks and damage hinges. Replace before they cause bigger repairs.

Door jerks or shakes as it moves

Cracked or seized rollers cause the door to bind. Often paired with off-track issues.

Door is uneven or crooked when closed

One side sagging usually means a single spring failed on a dual-spring system.

Spring Replacement

Every Spring. Every Door.

We stock galvanized torsion and extension springs for every common residential door in Southwest Florida. Replaced in pairs, balanced on-site, and tested before we leave.

Torsion Springs

Mounted above the door on a steel shaft. The most common spring on modern residential doors — and the most dangerous to replace yourself.

  • Single & dual torsion setups
  • Standard, high-cycle, and oil-tempered
  • Galvanized for FL salt-air resistance
  • 5-year parts & labor warranty
Extension Springs

Stretch springs mounted along the horizontal tracks. Common on older doors and lighter single-car openings.

  • Always replaced in pairs
  • Safety cables installed (code requirement)
  • Color-coded by door weight
  • Same-day inventory in stock
Roller Replacement

Quiet, Smooth, Bulletproof.

Most "noisy garage door" complaints aren't the opener — they're worn rollers. A full set of premium nylon rollers transforms your door in under an hour.

Nylon Rollers
Most Popular

Quiet, smooth, and long-lasting. The standard upgrade for noisy doors — most homeowners can't believe how quiet their door becomes.

  • Whisper-quiet operation
  • 13-ball bearing construction
  • 10+ year service life
  • Sealed against humidity
Steel Rollers
Heavy-Duty

Built for high-cycle and commercial doors. Tougher than nylon, slightly louder, and ideal for heavy insulated panels.

  • Hardened steel bearings
  • Best for doors over 200 lbs
  • Commercial high-cycle rated
  • Standard on hurricane-rated doors

Common Questions

Springs & Rollers FAQ

How long does a spring or roller replacement take?+
Most spring replacements take 45–90 minutes on-site. A full roller swap (10–14 rollers) adds another 30 minutes. We arrive with the parts on the truck — no second visits.
Why can't I replace a torsion spring myself?+
Torsion springs hold hundreds of pounds of stored energy. A slip during installation can cause severe injury or death. It's one of the few garage door jobs we strongly recommend never attempting DIY — and most YouTube tutorials skip the safety steps that matter.
How long do springs last in SW Florida?+
Standard springs are rated for ~10,000 cycles (about 7 years of average use). High-cycle springs last 25,000+ cycles. Salt air on the coast can shorten lifespan, which is why we use galvanized springs by default.
Should I replace one spring or both?+
Always both. If one snapped, the other is right behind it — same age, same wear. Replacing only one almost guarantees a second service call within months. We'll never push a single-spring replacement on a dual-spring door.
What does spring replacement cost?+
Most residential torsion spring jobs run $220–$380 installed, including parts, labor, and warranty. We give you a written quote before any work begins — no surprises, no markup for emergencies.
What warranty do you offer on springs?+
Every spring we install is backed by a 5-year parts and labor warranty. If anything fails within that window, we come back out and make it right — no charge for parts, no charge for labor.
